Just before Christmas break, the English Theatre had its first performance in school. The production presented, „Nativity Now“, is a modern interpretation of the birth of Jesus. In the play, written by Katharina Riegler especially for this performance, Mary learns that she will give birth to a child. Shortly before giving birth, she and her fiancé Joseph travel to London to get their passports renewed. After a disappointing encounter at the hotel they booked online, they have to spend the night in a dormitory. When the baby arrives that night, not only the other hostel guests find their way to the hospital, but also England’s highest royalty and a number of Londoners. Everyone gathers to honour the child. The students performed the play superbly and staged it independently. Accordingly, the applause of the numerous guests was all for them and well deserved.
